My first Armiger Helverin

Last month I made my first post showing my first two models ever — two Armiger Warglaives.

I wanted a Helverin with an inverted color scheme. For some reason I don't think it works very well — but I wanted to complete the idea instead of changing it halfway through. I really enjoy the golden part though — which is Balthasar Gold with some Gehenna's Gold drybrushed on top.

Highlighting is difficult — I got a smaller brush which seemed to help a bit. Guess it takes practice. Next step is either putting them on bases or starting on a knight dominus.

Hope you have a great weekend

My first models

My first models ever. Needs to be put on bases and have some more highlights. Had fun putting them together and deciding on the colour scheme — they're supposed to be Freeblades.

Claude tells me that they don't look good (I've instructed it to be brutally honest in all conversations). While I was prepared for the fact that they weren't going to be perfect, I must say I'm very satisfied with the result. I've learned a lot in the process and already have my next model lined up to paint.

What was the first thing that sank in for you while working on your first models? I was surprised how easy it is to ruin a new paint brush. Also how easy that the plastic glue removes the paint.
