Hello beautiful people.
TL;DR is the generative AI removal tool now automatically creating virtual copies in the collection and if so how do you turn off the setting? Or is there another cause for unexpected virtual copies?
I am a casual photographer but also the designated photographer for family events (holidays, reunions, etc.) and thanks to graduations and such coming up I know im going to have a lot to edit. Long story short, had editted and sent out a Christmas catalog/collection and my mother asked why I included so many duplicates. Wasnt sure what she meant but looking back through the catalog there were photos at different levels of edit.
Of note, I do use the generative ai removal tool and try to clean things up. It seems like the tool created virtual copies based on the develop history or some how virtual copies got made. Things Im certain its not, not accidentally using soft proofing as i always have that off and usually notice, not intentionally creating this many virtual copies (I do use virtual copies but typically if its to try some black and white or meet my siblings requests). Otherwise Im stumped and cant seem to intentionally recreate the problem to figure it out. Open to advice as it just creates more work and may end up editing wrong copies.
Thanks for any and all tips or advice.
