I (20F) can’t get a reply from boyfriend (21M)
Hi guys, so I’m currently on summer break from college back home and my boyfriend is also back home from school. When we’re at school he’s great about responding and reaching out but now that we’re apart I can barely get ahold of him. Messages either get a reaction but no reply, or if he does reply then it takes forever to get that message back. For example, he’s been on social media all day but I’ve been left on delivered for over 24 hours. I can feel myself start to spiral and think I’m not good enough or he’ll find somebody else, despite the fact this man has basically told me I’m his dream girl and is so perfect in person.
I feel like I’m going insane and everybody is telling me to chill and not overthink it. I don’t even want to talk to him all day, just a twenty second reply back once a day so I know he’s alive would be helpful. He turns 21 soon so I’m thinking maybe I don’t reach out until his birthday and see how that goes? See if he reaches out to me first? I feel like this is toxic but we also haven’t been apart for that long so I’m really trying to give him space and not be clingy. How do I not go insane?
