I've recently moved into my first home. It's an apartment with the living area combining dining and sitting room. The kitchen is small so the fridge also has to be in this main space. How do I decorate so the fridge doesn't look so odd and lonely here. The dining area is to the right and my POV is from the couch in the corner, I intend to either flip the couch so it sections off the seated area or get an armchair for the space between me and the fridge, but what else do you think would be good? Thanks!

I just moved into a new place. On switching on the main and looking around we noticed the pipe coming from the wall leaking, the valve seems to be broken. It's coming from the press that I think the water tank used to be before it was moved.

Any advice would be appreciated. We've sealed the top for now.

I may have messed up my first time sanding. Maybe I was too aggressive with it.

There are now little black spots on the table and it doesn't look even after 2 coats of varnish.

Advice, is there any way I can fix this?
