Uphill supply
Can anyone tell me if this bit of my irrigation system is doing what I think it is and taking water from the supply valves upslope on the banked border in my yard?
Asking because I'm going to relandscape all this border so will be taking this line out and relaying it (going to have a 2-tier terrace). On that front, if I am right, and the highest part of the border is in the top left of the second photo (by the palms) am I better to just run an uninterrupted pipe on a gradual incline rather than this whole up and down thing?

The bottom of the pipe in the first photo is immediately opposite (2ft from) all my valves if that helps.
