Booked a flight on Qatar airways website from Miami to Chennai with a layover in Doha. The second leg is operated by Indigo. I'd like to buy two extra pieces of excess baggage in addition to what my ticket allows. I am unable to buy excess baggage pre-departure on Qatar website. When I call Qatar customer care they say we have to buy at the airport as It has one leg by another airline. They mentioned it will be approx $250 per piece. Can someone confirm they have purchased excess baggage successfully at the airport with an indigo connection on second leg? If yes, what did it cost you?

Ps: for those asking why not book the itinerary that has both legs operated by Qatar, it was almost $2.5k USD in cost difference for the whole family.
