What even does this?

In the world of carnivorous plants it's eat or be eaten. I was wondering why this cape sundew looked so sick. I had previously given it a bath for 24 hours suspecting aphids, but it didn't get any better. Upon further inspection on something that looked like dirt/sand, i noticed that something has been eating it from the inside.
