Must be getting something right in the terrarium...
The lights are two £12 6500k bathroom lights from Amazon... if you take off the diffuser they are proper 8x8 LED panels underneath

Would the Barrina T5 lights be sufficient enough for a bog garden? How do I know if a light is gonna be bright enough
Hi everyone, I got this vft 3 years ago. It has always been struggling during this time of the year with halted growth but I always thought it was because of the recent repot it got. This year I didn’t repot it to avoid that and everything was fine until a month ago when it basically stopped pushing out new growth. It’s a pretty clump with 5/6 growth point and none of them as any sign of new growth. It’s in a mix of peat and perlite, a timer that sets the growth light (sansi 36w) on and off with sunrise and sunset, and gets watered with distilled or rain water, based on the availability. I don’t think the conditions are the problem though, cause I have them close to various other plants (as you can see in the pics, other vft, a sundew, 2 pings, a nephentes and a sararcenia psittacina) and they are all doing great, especially the other vft that I rescued from a friend after they were almost dead. The plant is kept outside and it’s experiencing normal temperature for this time of the year. So, what might be the problem?
Cephalotus follicularis 'UC Davis' is loving the sunbathing in the greenhouse.
Nothing loves fruit flies than a sundew. The plant quickly went to town on this fruit fly that was buzzing around some bananas, and it left no crumbs!
Beautiful sunset color pallet on this flower.
Hoping it’ll fill out the pot by the end of summer
If anyone has the Jolteon I'm sure we could trade plants for pokemon

Please please please never take VFTs from the wild. They are sold all over the country and there’s no need to remove anymore from the wild!
The biggest threats to Venus flytraps are habitat loss from overdevelopment and the lack of proper forest management. Even if you planted 1 million Venus flytraps back into the wild, they would disappear relatively quickly without the right habitat conditions.
Venus flytraps depend on open, sunny wetlands that are maintained by regular controlled burns. Without fire, shrubs and trees quickly take over, shading the plants out and changing the habitat completely.
Another major issue is drainage and development throughout the region. Many wetlands are being altered or drained as new neighborhoods, roads, and commercial buildings are constructed. It’s difficult to preserve a tiny isolated patch of habitat when intensive development surrounds it, because the entire ecosystem and water table are affected.
Protecting Venus flytraps isn’t just about saving individual plants, it’s about preserving and properly managing the entire ecosystem they depend on.

i got my nails done inspired by the maw of a venus fly trap plant 💚💕✨
Kinda neat to see how much it's grown in a year. I even put it through a winter dormancy, too.
This cute tiny little bloom popped up next to my cape sundew. Is this a bladderwort? If so, any info would be helpful as I don’t know anything about them!
First carnivorous plant. Repotted a month ago. It’s transitioning to living outside full time. Bring it in during the evenings. Label says Leucophylla, but I’m sure it’s crossed with something. Any advice appreciated. It only gets rain water.

Hello!
First time Ping dad and poster. I got a ping for my room cause i think carnivorous plants are cool, and would love to get into the community!
That being said, I'm not too sure how to properly take care of it :/
Ive been giving it bright sunlight, and have it in a saucer with about half a centimeter of water at the bottom. As for what its potted in, just what it came with from the greenhouse. Im going out shopping later and can pick up stuff if needed.
Any advice or help would be lovely!!
One of the joys of creating new hybrids is to marvel your creation and feel that all the hard work and patience were worth it. Happy growing 🌈 ☺️.
All of my plants happily grow and produce abundant pitchers, except for that one pesky bugger (sibuyanensis x ampullaria BE4584) that refuses to eat. It is producing leaves, just not pitchering (apart from this 1 basal pitcher I once had underneath all the growth). They are all held in a cabinet with plenty of grow light and humidity (as my other plants prove). I'm beginning to consider that my lack of temperature control might be the origin of my frustrations. I don't keep actual track, but I estimate daytime temp is around 22°C and nighttime is around 17/18°C (which ought to be within tolerance). Thoughts? Suggestions? Experiences?
