Picked up a Nepenthes Miranda yesterday Those big red peristomes are wild. My globosa × Black Miracle has been with me for a little over a week now and keeps looking better every day. Decided to break out the macro lens tonight and had way too much fun taking photos. The collection’s growing nicely. 😌🌱📸

I wanted to share my journey because it has been a long, brutal road, and I hope it can inspire anyone who feels stuck.
In 2015, I suffered a major injury in the oilfield that completely derailed my life. I peaked at 465 lbs, feeling trapped in my own body. It took a long time to dig myself out of that hole, but as of 2026, I am officially down to 241 lbs. That is 224 lbs gone.
It took me 11 years of fighting, stalling, losing some and gaining back even more I just keep pushing forward , but Im finally feeling like myself again.
For anyone dealing with an injury or feeling like they have too much weight to lose… do not give up. It takes time, but it is entirely possible.

So I bought a little bit of bubble hash from a friend a few weeks ago just an oz because I had already previously bought an ounce and it was good melty bubble hash … he sent me two jars the second order which I thought was weird tbh… the bubble hash was pretty good melt not the best… didn’t expect the best because of the price of it but at least expected it to melt or bubble some lol…. but the other jar was pretty much a lime green color didn’t melt at all when I put fire to it it just caught on fire when I brought it up he pretty much said well I can just keep it to myself from now on so I said cool… lmfao! I decided to pull some of my trim out of the freezer from one of my last runs of Martian fuel I grew… I just dropped a few bags on the trim tray and collected the kief and decided to take some macro photos of what he sent me versus that Kief honestly just disappointed that he would send something like that and then get butt hurt when I said it was shit quality but 6 g is honestly a low price to figure out if someone shady or not tbh… these are the comparison photos from the 1st ounce I received to the 2nd ounce that came in 2 jars to the trim tray Kief I quickly sifted I literally see no heads in the bubble hash that he sent that was lime green but my Kief is full of resin heads… the other hash like I said isn’t terrible it melts but it’s the principalities of the matter

“also I know I have my own material and could just make my own hash but I’m also on SSDI recently disabled and have a hard time lifting bubble bags and doing the whole process so it’s easier to just buy bubble right now but at this point I’m going to just order some new dry sift screens and start going that route”

8 days ago vs. today with my Nepenthes ‘Black Miracle’ from Mike’s Carnivores this is my first nepenthes/pitcher plant and I’m already addicted lol 👀

She arrived with a couple of flat pitchers and the usual shipping stress, but she’s already bouncing back. Multiple new pitchers are forming, and even one of the flat pitchers has started inflating. The speckling is still showing strong, and those deep red colors are really starting to pop.

Super stoked with her progress so far! 🔥🌿

Hi everyone. I just wanted to share a little context because never want to come across as rude or dismissive.

I have confirmed Type 2 CRPS diagnosed by my rheumatologist, neurologist, and PCP. My left leg has a long history of trauma, including a childhood injury where a tent stake went through my shin, a later crush injury involving a car door, multiple ankle injuries, and major reconstructive surgery in 2015 that left me non-weight-bearing for about a year and a half. I was originally diagnosed with CRPS/RSD in 2016 and that diagnosis has since been repeatedly contested by multiple rude un educated drs!
and has now been reconfirmed by multiple physicians.
Also I have now as of last month been approved for SSDI.

I’ve had repeated vascular studies and diabetes testing, all of which have been normal, so those causes have been ruled out. I continue PT and follow my care plan, but I’m considered treatment-resistant.

I’ve tried multiple treatments over the years including gabapentin, Lyrica, Cymbalta, physical therapy, desensitization, and mirror therapy. I’ve also lost over 200 lbs (465 → 241) trying to reduce stress on my body. Despite everything, I now rely on a cane and on most trips I have to utilize my wheelchair. like going to the grocery store or any trip with more than a small amount of walking. I do not plan on pursuing a spinal cord stimulator “due to friends experiences / fear of making something worse” or any more nerve blocks or killing the nerves 😢

The pain is constant and hard to describe….
burning, crushing, electric, and like my leg is both on fire and asleep at the same time. I also deal with swelling, color and temp changes, and extreme sensitivity.

I use cannabis for symptom relief and mental coping, but even with tolerance breaks and high doses it still don’t take the pain away.

I’m not looking for more diagnoses or debates about what it “might be.” I’m just tired, and I’m trying to connect with others who actually understand CRPS😢

If I seem short sometimes, it’s not personal….
