Got this plant a few months ago from Publix it was in one of the little containers like you see Venus flytrap in at big box stores with the dome over it every pitcher was shriveled it looked like it was about dead and this is how it looks as of today 💜🙂

Just got two new tissue-culture plants from Florae Collective and I’m hyped.
🌱 Nepenthes glabrata × hamata
First plant from them. Two species I’ve been wanting for a while. Came as TC
🎁 Freebie — complex platychila hybrid
They threw in this genetic monster:
[(lowii × veitchii) × boschiana] × [(veitchii × maxima) × veitchii] × platychila
Lowii, veitchii, boschiana, maxima, and platychila all in one plant. Also TC. Super excited to see what this one turns into.

Some under barrina t8s in my garage. My nepenthes are kept in a tent under an ac infinity ion 4bar light with a cloud forge t3 an exhaust fan and clip fan tent stays 74-75 day and around 68 at night and holds at 82% humidity

Up close and personal with a genetic masterpiece. 🧬 from -𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐅 𝐄𝐗𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐒-
This is a macro look at the incredible lid and toothy peristome of my seedling Nepenthes [(lowii x veitchii) x Trusmadiensis] x veitchii ‘Candy Dreams’ (RE-0169). You can clearly see the distinct, razor-sharp inner teeth inherited from its macrophylla lineage via N. × trusmadiensis, combined with the vibrant candy striping and massive flare from the veitchii parent.
Captured with my Sony a7R V and Laowa 90mm 2x Ultra Macro lens. Lighting was handled off camera with my Godox X3 trigger paired with diffused MF12 macro flashes to make those yellows glow 💛

Meet the Spiny backed Orb weaver! those insane spikes and that patterned shield make this one of my favorite arachnids. She looks like she crawled straight out of a sci-fi movie, but don’t let the armor fool you… she’s completely harmless.😍🖤
