Have you been wanting to cast [[Sway of the Stars]] without feeling bad about it? [[Sanar, Unfinished Genius]] is here to help you do just that.
I’ve been wanting to build a deck around [[Mizzix’s Mastery]] for a while now, and Sanar came around as the perfect commander for this idea. He comes down early to provide us with ramp and then tutors for our secret commander letting us basically guaranteeing we get to cast it around turn 6 or 7.
About halfway through this build I realized it would be fun to leave out all permanents other than lands to guarantee an extremely high density of instants and sorceries to fuel our storm cards. So while Sanar sits on the battlefield by himself and aura farms, we are doing our best to fill up our graveyard with Mizzix fodder. Some of the best spells we want to find include [[impending flux]] and [[Mind’s desire]], but while I was looking for spells I wanted to cast with Mizzix I had a realization.
With the unbanning of Sway of the Stars I can put it on top of a Mizzix stack, resetting the game, but having an entire stack to resolve afterwards, breaking parity if not immediately winning the game. Better yet, you usually won’t even have to resolve the full stack. ([[Prisoner’s Dilemma]] under Sway is my favorite, and Mind’s desire finding Sway also breaks parity which is fun.)
Now I’m still tuning this build, I’m not sure about the copy spells I have included to amplify the win condition spells, but it’s feeling pretty good. I’m happy to take feedback.
TL;DR Mizzix Mastery into Sway of the Stars into Prisoner’s Dilemna is pretty funny.
