Interested in a small cosy bookclub?

Hi everyone!

I’ve been looking for a small, intimate book club here in Amsterdam, but most seem to fill up very quick. So i’ll try my luck by making one; I’ve decided to start a group for those who want a more personal connection and a relaxed way to share what they are reading.

The idea:
-I’d love to keep this a small group (around 6
/7people) so we can actually get to know each other.
-Instead of everyone reading the same book every single time, I want us to meet up and present/discuss whatever we are currently reading. Whether it’s a high-fantasy epic, a psychological thriller, or classic lit. It’s a great way to get diverse recommendations. Maybe we can occasionally pick one title to dive into together.
-I would love to discuss what we are reading over a coffee or eventually dinner together :)
-ofcourse all of this is changable; i’m just making up ideas as i’m writing but definitely open to different directions!

About Me:
I’m a 28-year-old woman (Dutch/Croatian) living in Amsterdam. I’m a big fan of speculative fiction, fantasy, historical fiction and sci-fi. (Definitely looking to broaden my plate!!) I’m happy to chat in either Dutch or English!

I’m looking for a group that hits these vibes:
• you Identify as a nice person and roughly in their late 20s/early 30s.
• Located in or near Amsterdam/Haarlem (or happy to travel there).
• Meeting once a month in a cozy cafe, or even meeting up for a thematic dinner inspired by a book we’ve read.
• Interested in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where we can talk about books and life.

If you’re looking for a small "bookish" sisterhood and this sounds like your cup of tea (or glass of wine), please send me a message with a little bit about yourself and a book you have enjoyed

Can’t wait to meet you!
