My Kindle 10th Gen Basic (Model: J9G29R) battery has reached the end of its life and barely holds a charge. I’ve been looking for a replacement online, but I'm running into dead ends:

1. Cameron Sino / OEM replacement batteries (CS-ABD290SL / Part: 58-000226) are either completely out of stock or marked up to ₹4500–₹5,000+ on import sites like Desertcart/Ubuy, which is kinda out of my budget.
2. The stock dimensions are 61.5mm × 53.3mm × 2.8mm (3.7V, ~890–1000mAh). The biggest issue is finding a pouch cell that is under 3.0mm thick so the back cover closes properly without pressing against the E-Ink screen.

Questions:

• Has anyone successfully swapped a generic 3.7V Li-Po pouch cell into a 10th Gen Kindle by transferring/soldering the original BMS circuit board?
• Are there specific thin pouch cells (e.g., 305060 / 285060) or older ultra-thin phone battery cells available locally in India (or on sites like Robu/MakerBazar) that fit without swelling the case?
• Any local repair shop or market recommendations (Ritchie Street in Chennai, SP Road in Bangalore)
