3 Styes in less than 1 week
For context I have a history of dry eyes caused by MGD. However for the past 9 months or so I would say I have been almost symptomless. At least for me. I’ve still had somewhat of dry eyes burg it has been nothing like it used to be. I’ve actually been able to enjoy my life.
This week I developed 3 back to back styes in both eyes. It started on the inner corner of the top eyelid on my right eye, after 2 days I developed another on the lower inner corner or my left eye. Another 2 days later and now I have a third on the lower inner corner of my right eye. What is going on??? What seems odd to me is I’ve been able to see the bump causing them and it seems to be on Zeis glands.
I thought originally this was just a one off thing caused by bacteria or demodex but I’ve been extremely vigilant about keeping them clean and using hypochlorus acid. So I’m beginning to think this is something else. Any ideas??
