Extreme lack of natural light
Moving into a new apartment and really concerned about the lack of natural light. I have depression and natural light is a huge factor in keeping my mood stable. My current townhouse has 10 windows, all facing East or West, so I get tons of sun all day. It's honestly amazing.
Because the economy is trash, I'm opting to move to reduce rent costs.
I'm moving to a really nice neighborhood, to a third floor one bedroom apartment that cost significantly less.
Here's the thing. My new place has TWO natural light sources. A single bedroom window, and a sliding glass door (to the small patio) in the living room.
The building is more North/South facing, and the backyard (patio side) is a lush forest. Seriously its right off of a State Park, so the trees are huge and practically engulf the building (love it!).
So anyone have any ideas how to... I guess "mimic" natural light?
I plan on having a ton of various shapes/sizes of lamps, but will certain types of lightbulbs make any difference??
Like I said, I'm mostly worried about my depression spiking. I plan to use the patio and go on walks (tons of trails around there), but indoor light is so important to me, especially in winter.
Thoughts?
