Looking for advice

Looking for advice

Is this what you'd call a hero pool? I've decided to play support and picked some heroes that were either cool/fun to play or heroes that others recommended for new players. But I wanna know if this is a good pool? like I've heard ppl mention things like "x hero counters y" and i wanna learn more about it, so that I don't end up throwing the game from the pick screen.

I'm also not sure about what type of heroes i should be playing... like do i need about 2-3 for each role or more heroes in my role? But I also don't know how impactful stuff like this is at my level(haven't even unlocked ranked yet).

Then there's the whole being lost and not paying attention to the mini map sort of thing.I've learned about stacking, warding etc but i dont understand all the lane equilibrium stuff. Last hits i try my best T_T. Any advice besides playing the game more would be nice(i plan to do it either way, 1-2 games a day)

About me?

I'm a new player. Like a " installed the game about a month ago" type player. I haven't played mobas before. except for maybe pokemon unite. I used to play valorant, but in feb this year, i wanted to try out a moba, and talked about it to a bunch of friends. most of them dont play mobas, but 1 said dota2, coz its the better league or whatever. i decided to trust him, and it prolly was a bad decision... coz now im hooked. i don't get to play more than 2 games, but i spend the remaining time watching dota2 content, like zquinotx and dota2powerpoints. Even in valorant i feel like i dont pay attention to the minimap, like its a problem no matter what game i play. maybe its the zoning out thing, but if yall have any advice for that, like what to look for or some general plan you follow, it would be nice.
