Ghost Recon Caucasus proposal

For nearly the last 30 years since the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the Caucasus mountains bridging Europe and Asia have been plagued by ethnic and geopolitical conflict

my idea is simple: this region poses an ideal setting for a gritty addition to the ghost recon franchise (breakaway regions, and rebels in this region)

A fictionalized retelling of the various conflicts in the region can serve as a main campaign and even other conflicts as a conquest mode

The Russian invasion of Georgia, the Nagorno-Karabakh border conflict, border issues regarding
the various breakaway regions, such as North Ossetian and Abkhazia can prove to be an incredibly diverse and well-thought-out setting and scenario for a ghost recon game

Not to mention, this region is extremely extremely beautiful with friendly people, diverse cultures, and various landscapes

I could see this being a more of a gritty, ghost recon game, with vehicles replicated in excruciating detail, various enemy, factions, and combatants, and a local populist that’s reminiscent of ghost recon wildlands

The main campaign could follow some of the locals uprisings, terror issues, and border conflicts, George, Azerbaijan, and Armenia have plenty of interesting content to work with plus Russia and Iran could play an important role in this game

The blend of Caucasian villages, bleak Soviet cities, oriental eastern influenced cultures, clashing with eastern orthodox western cultures, not to mention the towering mountains, sweeping valleys and large plateaus of this region would serve an incredible visual representation

Just picture a team of ghosts, navigating across the mountain of terrain to attack a rebel controlled border outpost, trying to escape a Russian or Turkish aerial surveillance drone while entering a hostile valley, winning over the trust of the population as you slowly bring stabilization to their homeland, zooming through a valley on a commandeered Mi-24 attack helicopter, raining fire upon a convoy of aging T 72 tanks as the local populous cheers on

They could even have a conquest mode that replicates Russian intervention like in 2008 in Georgia.
