A common argument I see for the existence of Israel amongst people with Hasan’s politics and supporters of terror groups like Hamas and Hezbollah is that they are justified because Israel is a Jewish supremacist apartheid state. However, isn’t that most of the Middle East and hell a lot of countries in Asia? I live in Japan and I would be a fool if I thought I carried the same rights as Japanese even if technically I am protected from discrimination by law.

In the Middle East this is even more flagrant with many countries making it near illegal to be anything by Muslim or to openly celebrate your religion. Most of the gulf states are virtually slave states where the 10% live off the labor of the bottom 90 which are largely minorities or migrant workers.

In fact the population of Christian’s and other religious minorities have plummeted throughout the region going from a plurality of the population to less than 5% of the population or non-existent.

Hasan’s own native country of Turkey was built through colonization and forced eviction of Greek and Armenian minorities who lived on the land for several millennia.

Yet, I never see this brought up in opposing his argument that Israel shouldn’t exist. If someway the tankies destroy Israel with the help of the Muslim supremacists will they turn their attention to other similar regimes in the world. I have never see an adequate counter argument from their side regarding this. Does anyone have any counter argument they would come up with?
