Message from Loki

Never stop feeling for yourselves, and don't let fear or anything else consume or defeat you. If you give up now, you'll never know what the future holds for you. Perhaps, if you just hold on, the days will get better, and you will achieve what you came into this world to fulfill. My children, do not suffer; rest as much as you need, live, and choose to smile instead of suffering.

An Experience with Loki

This happened a while ago, but I wanted to share it because it feels like way too much of a coincidence for something like this to occur.

That day, I was consecrating a candle for Loki. I was sitting on my bed with my supplies set up on a bed tray table. The candle was not lit, nor was I burning anything large. I only had a single incense stick burning. I do not remember the exact reason, but in that moment, Loki told me: "Burn my heart." I did not do anything because I assumed he did not mean it literally, so I just carried on with what I was doing.

When I finished, I got out of bed and put everything back in its place. When I came back to the bed, I noticed that right under where the tray table had been, something had burned through my sheet and mattress. And what shape was it? A heart.

There was a heart shaped burn mark on my bed!

Right then, my mind went straight to Loki, and I remembered what he had told me just moments before: "Burn my heart." I still do not understand how the incense, since that is the only thing that could have burned it, ended up under the tray and out of my sight, burning into the exact shape of a heart. I am attaching the photo, it literally looks just like a heart.

To this day, I still think it is sweet. Having a heart on my bed and knowing it was Loki's doing is something I love. I did not even get mad at him, even though the mattress was practically brand new, haha. In fact, it is something I really adore.

Offerings for Loki Laufeyjarson

- Why are offerings given to him?

- Types of offerings.

- Cleansing and setting intentions, why?

- Correspondences.

Before starting, I would like to clarify a couple of important points:

▪︎ Most of the things I am going to mention here will not be found in ancient mythology books. These are ideas based on modern practice, my own experience, and what has collectively been seen to resonate with his energy nowadays.

▪︎ It is just a guide, not a rule: I do not intend to impose anything or say that this is what you "absolutely must" give him. In spirituality, there is no absolute manual.

▪︎ I am not going to dive into extreme detail: This post is just a general overview to give you an idea and inspire you; everyone's research path is unique.

At the end of the day, the best offering is the one given with genuine intention. Everyone does it in their own way, at their own pace, and with the resources they have at hand.

Why are offerings given to him?

Offerings function as an exchange, an expression of gratitude, a request, or as a gesture toward a specific deity. Whether it is to give thanks for their company or to ask for their guidance during a difficult time, each person has a different intention when making an offering.

Types of offerings:

Offerings can be given in several ways, but the most common are:

Food and libations: Food is left on his altar and, after a few days, it is removed and disposed of. It can be given to animals, used as fertilizer for plants, or, if there is no other option, thrown in the trash. It is important to consider whether the food is organic and safe to eat, as it could be toxic to animals or plants. Libations or liquids are poured into a bowl and left just like the food, although they can also be poured directly onto the earth.

Votive and devotional offerings: Votive offerings are those given to ask for a favor or to give thanks for a favor already received. On the other hand, with devotional offerings, nothing is expected in return; they are born out of adoration, love, respect, admiration, and appreciation for the deity.

Devotional acts: These can be either an object or an action. They are acts dedicated in honor of the deity. For example: starting something new, dedicating time to familiarize yourself with his energy, reading ancient texts, singing, dancing, learning to play an instrument, resting, or taking care of yourself. Any act that is dedicated is valid.

Sensory elements: Incense, stones, food, music, and candlelight are sensory offerings. They are those that can be smelled, heard, seen, felt, and tasted.

Cleansing and setting intentions, why?

Before setting intentions on offerings, if it is a physical object, it must be cleansed energetically and physically. This ensures you hand it over solely with your intention and without any of the negative energy the object contained before reaching your hands. To energetically cleanse, you can use:

Cinnamon, palo santo, sandalwood, dragon's blood, copal, or sage incense.

Crystals such as selenite, clear quartz, etc.

Setting an intention means giving it a purpose: Why are you giving it? To whom? Is it to ask for something, to give thanks, or to express your love? It doesn't take much, nor do you need to perform a highly complicated ritual; many people simply take the time to pray, sing, invoke, or remove past offerings. These are just examples, as everyone does it in their own way. There are no rules or limitations; the important thing is to express your purpose and feel satisfied with it.

Does anyone need help?

My name is Amy, nice to meet you.

I am looking for someone who still wants to keep learning about Loki. I recently became a consort and priestess of Loki, and I am fulfilling one of my duties, which is to help those in need. I am more than happy to help if anyone has a question or if you would like to ask Loki something. He agrees with this, he is actually a bit strict about it, truly. If you know anyone who needs help, you can talk to me and let me know.
