Severe Atypical Nevus turning into Melanoma

Please delete if not allowed!

I had a biopsy earlier this week, and I was just diagnosed with a severe atypical nevus on my abdomen and have to have surgery next week to remove it. I've had two other mild atypical spots before, but those were able to be shaved off, so this one is different, and I'm not sure what to expect.

If you don't mind sharing, have any of you have a severe atypical lesion, had surgery, and then ended up with melanoma anyway? This isn't coming from a place of anxiety as much as me trying to learn about my body and health!

Thank you all in advance!

Justice for blank paper!

Am I the only one who hates lined/graph/dotted paper? Maybe it’s the ADHD, but I started using blank paper in grad school, and I haven’t looked back!

There have to be more of us out there! Where are my people? 📣 😂
