is it worth it anymore?

this might be far fetched, but I wanted to discuss it with people who are actually pursuing or preparing for this field. don't you guys think NEET or medical is heavily getting overcrowded in India? 10 years back it was engineering and now it's medical.

10 years ago, people used to say "engg karlo, fir toh job mil jayega and life set" and now people say that with medical "beta no fear of placement, job security". i read posts from seniors who are doing pg, i listen from people who are doing SS and who are actually earning in lakhs per week that medical field is getting overcrowded and it's burning them up.

don't get me wrong, i love medicine. i love biology and the concept of living beings but is it really worth investigating our prime 10 years behind a field and not exploring anything else? i know it sounds very kiddish but yea.

who knows 10 saal baad har ghar doctor miljaye like abhi har ghar ek engineer mil jayega.

EDIT: been reading all of your comments and i agree to one fact that, india is actually overcrowded and under developed. tell me you choose medicine just because you loved bio and thought dr banunga toh naam kamaunga. that is the only thing. 10 years ago, koi doctor banne ka soch bhi nhi rakhte the as it was "rich people job" and now sab koi aa jaa rha hai field mei. until and unless you have done SS and some foreign degree nobody gives a dogshit. why am i saying this? cause when i go to a doctor for my family member we always check the degrees and stuffs and in the end cuss the ones with low degrees "areh ussne toh sirf pg kiya hai"

moreover US, germany, Japan inn sab jaga mei medicine k dusre fields mei bhi scope hai. biotech, bioengg ka no scope in india, gov toh inn sab mei invest hi nhi karte where india can be a hub. this is my idea. i can be wrong too.

ADVICE FOR DROPPERS

hello everyone,

i was a 2nd dropper and even after 2 drops i feel i wont be clearing NEET this year too but i want you people who are taking drop to walk on the right path and not make the same mistake i did.

  1. dont run after faculties, idhar se parlu? udhar se parlu? if you are studying from home, first and foremost rule is, try not to. agar apke parents afford kar sakte hai then offline chale jao. bohot discipline chahiye neet k liye.

  2. if you cant afford offline and want to stick online then, try to go to some library. ghar mei bohot distractions honge apke and your parents/siblings koi na koi aakar disturb karega and flow tutega. abhi sayad woh kuch nhi bolenge but with time hoga yeh

  3. online mei sab same hai. koi alag nhi hai. agar tumko concept k peeche bhagna hai, then pahele JEE main ka one shot dekhlo for physics and chem (one shot for every chapter). it will give you a rough idea for the chapter and then if you try to study you will understand something and will be able to solve it.

how this work? imagine this as, you are just planning foor th battlefield before the battle begins, you are playing the whole war in your head before preparing. helps a lot.

  1. for physics, i recomm Saleem bhaiya, the best teacher. MR sir se bhi accha. and SIT WITH A COPY AND NOTE THE FORMULAS. jinko phy formula yaad karne mei problem hota hai, woh roj subha utho, brush karo and just watch the formulas. 200 din mei ho jana chahiye.

  2. physical chem k peeche time jayda maat do. one shot dekho and just do pyqs or mcqs.

  3. organic, agar marks chahiye then pankaj sir aur agar concepts then JEE ka koi bhi teacher.

  4. inorganic ratta hota hai, questions karo bohot, issmei koi teacher i cant recc.

  5. THE GOLDEN RULE. ROJ, I MEAN ROJ, NCERT BIO 30 MIN. PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS. roh 30 min do bio ko. aur agar possible ho toh roj 20 to pyq karo. aur dheere dheere unko 45 karo. aim to finish 90 bio questions within 20 min. bio mei speed bohot matter karega.

  6. suru se test do. every sunday test do. chahe 0 bhi laa rhe ho fir bhi do. repeat karo tests. NEET mei questions bohot repeat hote hai. bar bar karoge toh sekh jaoge.

  7. dont forget to go out once in a while. not neccessary to sit 12-14 hrs a day. just sit 4 to 6 hours but focused.

ALL THE BEST, MAY GOD BLESS YOU ❤️

hello,

so i have been planning to study medicine in georgia, have been doing some research for a few days. have quite a few doubts, so if anyone eligible to answer them, please be real and genuine

  1. which university to consider if someone has a budget of 30-40 lakh for the entire 6 years? average tuition fee can be 5-5.5 lakh per year

  2. how much does hostel fee costs on an average? will it be lower than staying in rentals?

  3. can you part time job after college and self study?

  4. is the student environment good? is there any good competition or does people motivate each other to push harder?

  5. clinical exposure? (though i have a brief knowledge about it, still if anyone can help)

these are my few doubts, if anyone can help, please do so. also if there is anything else i need to keep in mind, please lmk.

thank you ❤️

hello, i am a neet dropper and after this attempt i want to quit the race and get going in life. i am very fascinated by biotech so i wanna pursue this but i have a lot of doubts.

i will be pursuing btech biotech from VIT (i have given viteee)

what are the job opportunities after btech? i read its not so good with avg salary around 4-5 LPA.

if after btech, i wanna continue studying (which is the case), mtech? or go abroad and study? and what will be the job look like after mtech?

i got no seniors or mentors to ask, so i am asking here to fellow redditors. thank you for your time : )
