Mission Impossible: HVAC Install
It's the year 2009... Two God-tier installers roll into the shop one morning to pick up their equipment for the day. They are handed a Goodman AWUF (apartment air handler) with the mission: Install it in the ceiling of this old condo building.
These two geniuses took an AWUF, used the install manual as rolling papers, and blazed their own way. They flipped it horizontal, rotated the coil, relocated the drain pan, and just engineered their own ceiling unit. Somehow their abomination creation lasted 15+ years.
I don't know where these 2009 installers are today, but I'd buy them a beer. For a moment I was appalled, but it quickly turned to admiration.
Also a shout-out to our team Chris, Rob, and Christian for replacing this today with far too little information, and 2009 levels of chaos.
