What ended up being the truth about Saikat Chakrabarti’s Maryland house?

This is very moot and was also not in the slightest a voting issue for me, but was vaguely curious and could not find a conclusive answer on the matter.

Has anyone put fucidic acid in their nostril for a staph infection?

I have what I think is a staph infection inside my nostril. Crusty and yellow and bleeding. The scab comes and goes, but it’s been there for over a year. Irritates me a lot and interferes with my breathing.

I got this cream in Greece a couple months ago for a scratch on my leg. It says not to apply into your nose, but seems like some people were told to do specifically that by their doctor? Has anyone tried this? How did it go?

I want to try putting it in my nostril just to see if it does anything. I’ve tried most OTC solutions, regularly do saline rinses, etc. I’m lowkey desperate.

I know I should probably go to an ENT, but I’m away from home for a summer internship and don’t have the bandwidth to deal with that right now.

Has anyone heard back for their request for additional accommodations?

Submitted my original accommodations documents and got approved the next day, but realized I forgot to include one of the accommodations. Resubmitted the form, and now it’s been “under review” for almost 2 weeks.

Does anyone have experience with how long the turn around is for additional documents?

Berkeley Law social and dating scene?

If any current/former Berkeley Law students are here, I would love your perspective!

I’m hoping to learn more about the softer “quality of life” aspects. Do sections get close? Do people have fun? Also wondering how the gender imbalance affects things. Both for dating (seems harder as a straight girl) and because I’ve always had a pretty even split of guy and girl close friends.

Thank you thank you for any advice/input :)

Medical transport due to greening out — c&f issue?

My freshman year, took an edible way too strong, first time trying weed ever. Basically thought I was dying. Lessons were learned. This was a legal state, but on campus and obviously I was under age.

My school has a medical immunity rule such that I was explicitly told that this was not considered a disciplinary violation and it did not end up on any sort of permanent record. I did have to schedule a meeting with a guidance counselor regarding my “substance abuse problem”.

I’d really rather not disclose it, but I’ve also heard the advice that it’s better to err on the side of reporting everything possible under the sun.

Why do some professors disallow recording lectures, even if strictly for personal use?

Asking out of curiosity. I got a note-taking accommodation last semester for adhd where I’m allowed to record classes on my phone and I found it to be enormously helpful.

I understand the argument that it would disincentivize paying attention in class the first time, but I actually found the opposite to be true because it allowed me to stress less about getting down every detail and instead absorb lectures in the moment.

Then, during midterms and finals season, I relistened to lectures against my notes on 2x speed to make sure I didn’t miss anything. There were some classes where I ended up relistening to every single lecture of the course, from start to finish.

I think as a direct result of the recordings, this ended up being my first 4.0 semester in my 3 years thus far. And I definitely also worked hard in the previous semesters.

I was just wondering a professors perspective on why it is often banned for the general student population, some proffessors even listing unapproved recordings as an honor code violation.

Since personal recordings don’t give you access to information you weren’t already present for, this doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. And if the ability to record makes a student stop paying attention and then they do poorly, that seems like their own fault. Is there a downside I’m missing?
