Advice for a first time oled owner

For the past 2 weeks i've been looking for a monitor for my new setup and didn't know what to choose.

Initially i was scared of the oled mostly because of the burn in, and to be honest that still scares me. However, after searching for different ips monitors, info regarding the oled monitors on plenty of forums and reddit posts i came to the conclusion that is better to buy an oled. I mostly do games and content (youtube, movies) with the occasional excel/word.

As of right now, the monitor i decided to go with is the Asus ROG Strix XG27AQWMG since i have seen only good reviews and has been praised a lot from what i've seen including different youtubers.

Now, with that being said, what are some good practices to protect the monitor, to keep it as good as possible, best way to clean it and more?

The monitor would stay in a "mixed" room.

Also, if you already own this monitor how is your experience with it?

Hello,

I'm looking to buy a new monitor and I really struggle to make a decision and that's why I'm here.

I had couple of options in mind specifically oled or ips. Initially I was thinking of going with an oled monitor 4th gen tandem but to be honest I'm scared of the burn in and waste the money. I don't want to babysit the monitor, don't stay too long on some page or other bs. Call me crazy but I don't see why I would gamble with my money.

When I was thinking about oled I saw the lg 27gx700a-b and I quite like it, 1440p 280hz, g-sync compatible etc but I saw a lot of people have complaints about it.

After that I was looking at ips monitors and found the 27 inch rog strix xg27aqmr.

The perfect monitor would be a 1440p 27inch or 32, 16:9, at least 240hz and g-sync compatible for my 4090. As for budget, I would say around 700 euros.

I also saw the lg 32gq850-b but 1000 euro is too expensive for me.

What are your guys suggestions, what I use my pc is mainly gaming, but I also fall asleep on YouTube and word, excel.

Any suggestions and advice is welcomed. I plan to go to my local store and check some monitors out.
