Hi everybody, I think I have a problem with mice/rabbits eating my seedlings and brassicas. So many of my baby cucumbers, sunflowers, zinnias, beans, and radishes are getting cut down before they even start. Also my cabbages and broccoli have been massacred.
So I read about a recipe for rabbit deterrent with garlic and hot pepper. Has anyone used this remedy and how effective is it? Could I substitute a whole bunch of crushed greens from some green garlic that I harvested? Its basically a giant pile of chives I was going to throw away.

Hi everybody, a few years ago I was introduced to huitlacoche (corn smut) in Mexican cooking and I really want to grow some in my garden this year. I found that you can buy spores for inocculation online but then some varieties are more susceptible than others. I really want to maximize infection. Have any of you tried doing this? Which varieties have you grown that perform well in our climate and have caught corn smut the most? Thanks so much!
