2-year Civ V player here… just had my mind changed by a Germany Deity guide
Hey everyone,
I’ve been playing Civ 5 for about 2 years now. I’m not new-new, but I’ve mostly been learning on my own, just playing, making mistakes, restarting, and trying to figure things out as I go.
Recently I watched a collab guide (RoughMercies + Babolutherking) where they played Germany on Deity and honestly… it kind of blew my mind.
What really hit me wasn’t just the strategy itself, but how they explained everything. Every small decision mattered. Every turn had weight. Things I used to just autopilot—like clicking “next turn”—suddenly felt like I was missing half the game.
They really broke things down in a way that made me see Civ 5 differently. Like, it’s not just about building up an empire, it’s about constantly making small decisions that add up over time. Even tiny details start to matter when you actually understand what’s going on.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to them for the guide. It genuinely changed how I look at the game.
