I noticed a new "mix" feature on Spotify that lets you customize song to song transitions in a few different ways. At the same time, as much as I've been listening to Kinda Hard, I've also been listening nonstop to everything from wet milk to now, and wanted to make a playlist that FULLY CAPTURES the Bilmuri sound, both for my own listening as well as introducing friends who've only heard a bit of AMS.

I hand selected each song and the order of them, and custom mixed each one for the ultimate Guided Hog Crank experience. Check it out, if you so please. The band is sounding just incredible. I particularly appreciate Johnny’s commitment to delivering the full Muri sound on this tour. The long setlist really lets you sit with the pre AMS sound for plenty of time and it doesn’t feel rushed.

I got into Muri when boutta cashew and livin laughin lovin came out, and American motorsports really accelerated my fandom. But the live in Atlanta set introduced me to the last albums and I love the whole discography now. I think it’s cool that as Bilmuri is steaming ahead in popularity right now and going borderline viral with how good their live set is, Johnny’s committed to teaching them the ancient texts. And they’re just bangers the whole time.

Edit: just a quick note that I’m talking about their arrangements and performances, not the mix on this tour. I know the mixing has been rough, I felt that way about salt lake too.

My main point is that AMS and beyond is only a small part of the overall Bilmuri “sound”, and I appreciate Jawn putting enough bangers from past albums to really introduce newer fans to the entirety of Bilmuri on this tour.
