Advice needed: pet sitting vs boarding for rabbits when traveling

Hi guys, I have had my bunnies for 5 years now and whenever I had to travel my former roommate who was experienced with my rabbits would house sit for me and take care of my bunnies, unfortunately they recently had to move to a different state so I am looking for different options.

One of my rabbits is prone to GI stasis, and I check on her frequently throughout the day, so Im confused whether pet sitter would be a good option for them because they only do short visits (in seattle the rate seems to be 30-40$ per 20 minute visit). If i select 3 visits it can be upto 120$ per day which is a lot of money and still not enough time to really catch a stasis episode on time, plus it might be hard to find someone I can trust. On the other hand I could board them at their regular vet, but Im worried if they will be kept in small cages there and would be constantly stressed out as my bunnies are used to free roaming in my living room.

I would travel in November for about a week. Can anyone share their experiences with boarding/pet sitting and which one might be more suitable to make sure my rabbits are taken care of well and are stress free when I travel?
