Advance parole

I have a pending EB-2 NIW Adjustment of Status (I-485) and I am considering applying for Advance Parole because my mother is seriously sick and I may need to travel to see her.

My situation:
- I entered the U.S. legally on a B1/B2 visa.
- Before my visa expired, I filed for asylum.
- My asylum case is still pending.
- Later, I filed EB-2 NIW and an I-485 Adjustment of Status based on the EB-2 petition (not based on asylum).
- I currently do not have any valid visa stamp.

I wanted to ask if anyone here has been in a similar situation and traveled successfully using Advance Parole:
- pending asylum + pending I-485,
- previous visa overstay concerns,
- EB-2 NIW based adjustment,
- and then re-entered the U.S. safely without issues.

Especially interested in:
- experiences at the airport/CBP inspection,
- whether AP alone was enough without a valid visa,
- and whether anyone traveled for a humanitarian/family emergency.

I would really appreciate hearing real experiences or attorney guidance.

Thank you.
