Hey everyone

I was supposed to go to Hampshire College in the fall but it just closed. Reed had said they would take a late application given the situation and I’m seriously considering it.

A few questions:

How is Reed for science/psychology/ neuro? Is the thesis culture as intense as people say? I was drawn to Hampshire due to its independent research culture. Any transfer students here?

The one thing I don’t like about Reed is its location. any advice for someone who prefers smaller, more rural environments?

Thanks

I guess the bigger loss for me as a prospective student is I really felt like I had community at Hampshire people that kinda thought like me. I’m also neuro divergent and not straight and I felt at home at Hampshire.

Wondering where prospective students are heading instead? I’m deciding between UMass Amherst BDIC and Sarah Lawrence college.

I hope someone starts a new school like Hampshire.

Maybe one day when I get the $$$$ ;)
