Guest leaves because of “men” outside the apartment door
They wanted to book my place cause it was a great price for 8 people and has 9 5 star reviews. Located in downtown with predominantly black population. All their reviews are from Florida vacation spots. I tried to hint it might not be a good fit for them and they might like a nice hotel 2 blocks away. they just sent me this:
“Okay so it did not go too well. We pulled up and the group of people hanging outside of the door was enough to deter us I'm afraid. We didn't feel comfortable passing them to get into the building (there were about 5-7 men at first and then 3-4 more people joined them).
There was shouting and music blasting throughout the halls. It wasn't a good fit for our family, so we left. I sent my husband up to check it out so he did enter the room but didn't touch anything. So there shouldn't be a need for you to clean it.”
Are they asking for a refund? If i dont give them a refund and they write a bad review, will Airbnb delete it? Does anybody have any experience with this specific scenario? So far they haven’t actually canceled the reservation. in my description, I explicitly write details that would prevent these types of scenarios from happening. I write that my place is not good for people who do not prefer urban apartment environments like dealing with smoke odor in the hallways, music, listening to people living their daily lives, etc..
