I only just found out that PS5 has this setting called High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) that encrypts frames on your TV to protects copyrighted material from being copied through your HDMI. Problem is, the encryption also adds 3 milliseconds of delay. I play on both PS5 and Xbox and I always noticed my PS5 runs felt like I was running in mud. Lol. In case a you haven’t done it already, shut it off!

After a few commenters pointed out the small reduction in the display I think HDCP just doesn’t play well with my monitor’s game mode. Either way, huge delay input reduction!
