Birthday Birkin 🎂 👜

After about 8 months of shopping with our boutique, my wife got the ultimate “birthday Birkin” surprise today.

Our wedding anniversary was last week and today is her birthday, so ever since quota bags first came up in conversation, I had told our SA that getting her first QB during this week would be incredibly special.

We actually stopped in today just planning to browse for a birthday visit before lunch to maybe pick up a perfume or silk and say hi. Our SA had even told me last week, when I picked up an anniversary gift, that timing-wise it probably was not going to happen yet due to shipments and inventory.

While driving to the boutique, our SA texted me and told me what they had JUST managed to secure as an offer for my wife. Keeping a straight face on that drive was TOUGH.

Then somehow our SA made the whole experience even sweeter. She had my wife distracted looking at shoes while everything was being set up, then came out with the orange box, champagne, and birthday wishes to surprise her. Watching my wife realize what was happening was honestly such a great moment.

Birkin 30 in Craie Togo with GHW. My wife’s absolute dream #1 bag from day one. She picked out the twillies herself and I think they finished it perfectly.

Honestly just really grateful. Our SA has been nothing but kind, helpful, and genuinely excited for us throughout this whole journey, and she made today incredibly memorable for my wife. Definitely a birthday we will not forget.

Birthday Birkin?

My wife’s birthday and our anniversary are this weekend, and ever since we started shopping with Hermès about a year ago, I’ve been telling our SA that my goal was to surprise her with a Birkin around this exact time.

Our pre-spend seems to be in the appropriate range for our store, and our relationship with the SA has honestly been great. My wife purchased me a men’s watch in December so I’d like to think that “Birkin bait” helps as well on top of every that else…
Last week I stopped in to buy my wife Orans for Mother’s Day and reminded our SA that the birthday/anniversary week was coming up. She said they didn’t have any bags that day, but she did go in the back to check and mentioned a couple colors that I knew my wife wouldn’t want. There was no mention of needing more spend or “building the profile” further.

What stuck with me was that she also mentioned she knew what was coming this week (Mon–Fri), but didn’t know next week’s shipment yet. Maybe I’m overanalyzing, but I feel like there would be no reason to tell me that unless there was at least a possibility of something relevant arriving this week. Otherwise why not just say “this probably isn’t the week”?

At this point I’m trying to figure out whether I should:
- just let the process play out and trust the SA, or
- go in and buy a couple additional items before the weekend.

I also don’t want to annoy the SA by hovering or texting too much. I already checked in once and she said she’d let me know.

For reference, my wife’s dream specs would be:
- B25 or B30
- PHW
- colors like white, jaune/yellow, Etoupe, Rouge H
- Birkin Touch or suede would be amazing, but we realize that’s probably unrealistic for a first offer.

I guess my main question is: in your experience, if there was something “holding us back” (more spend needed, profile issue, timing issue, etc.), would most SAs generally tell you? Or is silence usually just part of the process?

Trying not to overthink this, but also trying to maximize my odds before Saturday/next week.

2026 yellow Birkin colors

Hello all!
Forgive my naivety, but I’m wondering if the B25’s and B30’s being sent to stores right now are all the new Jaune Mango yellow? Or are Jaune Poussin bags still being shipped?
