i got offered my first quota bag!

it’s birkin 25 in Etoupe with palladium hardware

it took me exactly a year with pre-spend of 17K excluding non-quota bags.

i think if you are ok with waiting and willing to take this “journey” slow, you can manage to get a QB with a lower prespend like me.

i am also located on the east coast in a VERY VERY COMPETITIVE small boutique in a wealthy neighborhood.

so hopefully this gives some hope to everyone who is still working to get their first quota bag! Patience is key 🤍

I am 19f and was just contacted to interview to be a host at my local boutique. Since I’m a student, I don’t have a super high end wardrobe, so I was wondering what would be the best outfit choice? Thanks!

Edit: I remembered that I have a silk scarf designed by Grace Kelly that I purchased in Monaco. I don’t have any Hermes scarves, but this one is colorful (white with a red border and red yellow and blue flowers). Should I wear it? I’m planning now to wear a white fitted button up, dress pants, and 1-inch flats as per the recommendation of the replies!

I’ve always loved the Lindy. I have the 30 and used to own a 26 which is such a great size but the color just didn’t work for me so I sold it. The Mini looks so darn cute, I see it a lot where I live in Asia and am really getting influenced. I’m petite and love small crossbody bags. I’ve got a C18 but I don’t use it all the time especially not out with kids because I worry about scratching the buckle.

I’ve got a few Ks and Bs and have slowed down with the game since my last offer. I feel that a Mini Lindy shouldn’t be a problem given my SA relationship. Or - wildcard - should I play the longer game for an MK?? I’ve always thought it’s too small and impractical but it’s so pretty and feels like the ultimate QB for me (I’m not interested in exotics and not at the level of a blue box).

If you were me what would you ask for next? And for those voting Lindy, what are some interesting combos you’ve seen offered lately? For my next bag I want a leather that’s not Togo, Clemence or Epsom.

Hi everyone! I’m currently debating whether to put a B25 in Beton or Craie on my wishlist. I absolutely love light neutrals, but I’d love to hear from anyone who owns a lighter-colored Birkin. How has your experience been with maintenance and wear over time? Do colors like Craie or Beton tend to yellow, transfer color easily, or show marks quickly? They’re so beautiful, but I’m a little worried about keeping the bag looking fresh long term. Would really appreciate any advice, photos, or experiences you can share 🤍

I never really thought about it and I am sick and tired of TikTok clowns explaining it one after another. Telling you how to score a Birkin with no spending history, etc.

I want to be able to shop without feeling like I don't belong, without having to worry about how I look and I want to be respected not treated like a burden. Thankfully I didn't have any bad experience at Hermes yet however, it's better to be prepared for the worst case scenario.

And Hermes is one of those brands where you don't have to worry about it being too trendy and then becoming outdated and uncool. Theres always something for everyone, from Elegant to Edgy.

So how do you play the Hermes Game "correctly" and what advice would you give someone who's rather anxious about shopping in person. I am not talking about scoring a QB per se but building a proper relationship with an SA/Store long term...Thank you for your takes :)

Posted about this last year and it turns out the rumors are true. A new boutique is opening in my area some time this year. (The date keeps getting pushed but the sign is up and the windows are papered over to look like orange boxes!) Once it was confirmed that Hermès is definitely coming, I held off on making purchases from the other store in my state thinking I'd rather build a sales history at my new nearby store. But a friend said the new store might have QBs available right away since no one has a sales history with them yet. Will my very anemic sales history at the other boutique in my state and in Paris get me an invite to the opening? Does online sales history count and should I make some purchases now before they open? Any other advice on getting an invite or should I just plan on waiting in line on opening day?
