Noir Pegasus Charm
This has been difficult to find in the US. But I finally lucked out at the new Wilmette boutique. I was also offered a studded Rodeo, but the Pegasus was what I was after. They must have had more charm stock for the opening.

Heading out to a customer today. Need my laptop and some papers. I didn’t want anything too flashy, so this bag work well.
Earlier this year I started my Hermes journey (I’m a dude) with my SA; located in the US. I bought a scarf the first time with another SA, but didn’t really jive with him. Next time I went in a month later, I was paired with another SA. I was offered a Kelly Messenger, which I bought (the Messenger was actually what I was interested in). I also bought a scarf, twilly, and scarf ring. The SA also gave me his card to reach out with his contact information. Over the next two visits, I made additional purchases, scarves, belts, a pair of sandals (which he needed to have transferred to the store for me to try/buy). On the visit after that, I had mentioned that I would like something in the longer term that could be used as a work/laptop/overnight bag. I was wondering if a Birkin 35 would work. He brought out a sample and I saw immediately that it wouldn’t work for my use. He then thought a larger Kelly would, and said he may have something available. He went back and came out with a Maxi Kelly, which totally worked for my use case, I absolutely loved it, and I got it right there; I also got a belt that visit. Me and my partner had messaged him a note/pic of us wearing both bags on a trip, and I had playfully mentioned that my partner had completely taken over the Messenger, so hoping at some point to get a Kelly 25 so we both have something smaller than can be utilized as a crossbody bag. He replied “We’ll work on that next!” and also noted that he was glad that we’re traveling with the bags.
Not including the bags, I’m at about $8-9k spend with that SA at that store (since May). Although the other bags don’t go towards pre-spend, I would hope it would help with my overall story.
He also messaged me the other day about two scarves I’ve been looking for and that they’ve arrived at the store (he had noted that last time), so I’ll be going in to pick those up. I’ll be mentioning the Kelly 25 again. This has all occurred since May of this year.
So, after my long winded story, how should I take that reply? Should I not read too much into the “we’ll work on that next”, or??? Or that simply means, “spend more…” lol? Or that’s just a polite reply? It seems particular with the wording about saying we’d work on it “next”.
Perfect for a casual day out as a crossbody. Accessorized with the matching etoupe Kelly Festival Charm!
Been loving the Maxi Kelly (togo leather, noir). Perfect for a work/laptop bag, can use it for an overnight/travel bag, and have also worn it on a heavy shopping day. I’m 6’0, so it fits my frame without looking too oversized. Just got an all black pegasus charm I want to style it with.
Was in Paris at the Hermes flagship store sporting my Kelly Messenger. I asked the SA about any charms that may be available (thinking rodeo or pegasus) charms, and he pulls out a matching Kelly Festival Charm. Pretty impossible to find in the US, so I had to get it!
Anyone been able to get the chat chat chat scarf in store? I was at the Paris George V boutique and they had two, so I absolutely had to get them both! So much more vibrant in person! I’m still hunting for the same pattern in another colorway.
Do cat designs tend to be difficult to procure?
Anyone seen these in boutiques yet?
I got this tricolor rodeo charm at the George V boutique in Paris. The SA showed me two charms, and I thought this would look best on my noir maxi kelly, or I could pair it with my etoupe kelly messenger pm as a pop of color. The colors are bleu hydra, vert yucca, and ébène.
What do you think of the color combo?
Was in Paris for the day, and while I didn’t score a leather appointment or bag, I did score a Kelly Charm. Twin to my messenger that I wore in the store. I don’t see these often in the US. How difficult is it to get one of these typically?
I wonder if they brought it out because it matched the bag I was wearing there.
My new Kelly 42 bag on the inside left has a stamp in the leather near the top, in the format
ZZZ###
ZZ
(Where Z’s are letters and # are numbers).
Does anything on this indicate the year this was made? Or is there somewhere else I need to be looking? I don’t see other obvious stamps.
Posting this for the guys looking at sandals: I bought the Jackson and wanted to share sizing and comfort.
My SA was able to find and transfer a pair to the store for me to try on before I bought. I got a size 46 (US 13), and the fit was pretty good for my large feet. Took a couple weeks to break in, but they feel pretty comfortable now, especially for a slightly elevated casual look, at the pool, or running errands in the summer. Overall I’m happy with them.
Wonder if popularity in men’s bags will rise with the world cup and all???
Looks like my Maxi Kelly (5 feet) in the pic…. It’s definitely not a Birkin, lol…
My Hermès journey has been such an unexpected experience, and honestly, it has unfolded in a way I never could have predicted. It started very casually, with a first visit that was pretty low-key and ended with just one scarf.
A few weeks later, my boyfriend and I (both guys) went back and were randomly assigned a sales supervisor, and that visit really changed everything. We talked through a few things I had been interested in, including bracelets and scarves, and he was so helpful and attentive. We picked out a few pieces to purchase, and my boyfriend mentioned a 24/24 after we talked about wanting a bag that could be used cross-body. The sales supervisor seemed pleasantly surprised that we knew of it, and he brought one back in gold on gold that was available. Then my boyfriend brought up the Kelly Messenger, and he went back and brought out an Etoupe Kelly Messenger PM in Evercolor leather. I actually made a sound when he pulled it out, because it was essentially exactly what I had hoped for and had talked with my boyfriend about prior, down to the color. I was genuinely surprised to be offered it; I selected that over the 24/24. I have heard so many stories of people being told there was no stock available, so having a bag actually shown to me as practically a walk-in (one scar purchased prior) and being able to buy it felt kind of surreal.
After that, he gave us his card to reach out directly to him in the future. On later visits, he's remembered what we had talked about before, helped us with additional scarves, sandals, a bracelet, and even worked on getting a pair of Noir Jackson sandals in my size transferred to the store for me. That kind of memory and care made the whole experience feel much more personal.
On this last visit, I mentioned wanting another belt, which I got, and also asked about charms, though there weren’t any in stock. The conversation then shifted toward me looking for a larger bag in the longer term, something that would work for a laptop or an overnight trip; I didn’t want to come across like I was demanding a bag that day. I was thinking in terms of a size 35, but after trying a sample he brought out, he thought I’d probably want something larger, in a 40 or 42, which I agreed after seeing the 35. He left for a bit, and came back with a box, and surprised me with a Noir Maxi Kelly 42 in Togo with palladium hardware, and it was available! I was completely shocked, and so of course I bought it.
What makes this journey feel even more exciting is that all of this has happened in just a little over two months. I didn’t go in demanding specific things or expecting anything. After hearing so many people talk about being told there "is no stock available", I still am shocked I was offered pieces like these in such a natural, easy, unexpected way. They may no be considered “quota bags”, but I'd still think they’d be selective and restrictive about what they choose to offer.
Maybe it’s a good thing I have no interest in mini-kelly’s and the like…. But it hasn’t felt much like a “game” thus far.
For those who have been shopping with the brand for a while, does the relationship usually build this quickly? How common is an experience that I've had? Are these bags (Kelly Messenger, Maxi Kelly 42) typically easily obtainable in store?
