i bought the jacket !!

Last week I made a post asking for advice on made-to-measure or buying off the rack. I decided to skip made-to-measure and have my SA transfer in a jacket I’ve seen online. I was iffy about it because I didn’t see it in person, but luckily they were able to have it brought in, and I am so happy they did!! I am in love with this jacket— the color, tailoring, feel, and everything. It was definitely a bit of a splurge for just a jacket, but well worth it. This is one of my now favorite jackets/blazers. The color changes in different lighting, but it’s in the color “marine.” I may order the pants that match it to give it a full suit vibe, but overall I can’t wait to wear it. i’ve always wanted a Hermes jacket and now i can say i finally have one.

H Spa can’t fix dry cleaners mess up

UPDATE: after Reading everyone’s recommendations i reached out to my SA and accepted the credit. i also spoke with a luxury dry cleaning company in NYC that told me it will not be fixable. Thank you to everyone for your comments 🙏🏻

hey guys in a bit of a pickle i bought this T from the recent sample sale and i loved it. i gave it for dry cleaning like i have with my other H garments and this time there was and issue. the dry cleaners called me saying the shirt bled and its hermes fault bc of the quality of the shirt. which i dont truly believe bc i’ve also bought the grey version of this shirt at the sale and dry cleaned it multiple times no issue.. i honestly think the dry cleaners may have washed it with other colors or something. i took the shirt to my H boutique and showed it to my SA and the store manger. the store manger said this was definitely the dry cleaners fault but she wants to send it to the spa to see what the solution may be. it was sent out 2 months ago to paris and i just received an email saying it cannot be fixed but Hermes will give me a 1 year store credit for $370. what would you guys do? if i accept the credit i don’t get the shirt back. i haven’t tried any experimenting on my own yet with fabric cleaners or whitening solutions. also the dry cleaners aren’t willing to take any responsibility which is frustrating. Any advice is appreciated thanks!

special order question

hey guys was wondering how difficult was it to be offered a special order? I was told last year by another sales associate the boutique i shop at does not offer special order but on my last visit, I asked my SA if they offer special order and she said they do. I told her I would really love a special order, especially for the bag that is on our wish list right now An orange Kelly. My SA said a special order might be easier to acquire that color since she don’t see orange in production that much this year so I told her I would really love a special order now knowing that the boutique I shop at offers it she took it into consideration. Most of my purchases have been men’s ready to wear because that’s what I’ve been enjoying buying mostly. I have a good relationship with my home store and SA. I’ve been working with her for about two years now I’ve shopped in multiple categories. so far QB’s received were: K25 in craie w gold hardware last april. non qb’s purchased this year kelly cut, and evelyn. let me know your experience, with special order. and prespend / relationship to get offered it.

randomly popped in purchase 🍊

My wife and I decided to stop by our local home store while we were out and about.

As we were browsing, she spotted this mini Evelyn in tangerine in the showcase.

Since we had originally come in just to browse, she asked if they could sell us the bag. They agreed, but our SA was fully booked with clients today.

So, she said that one of the store manager would assist us. I’ve built a good relationship with the store manager also from just talking every time i’ve came in. I asked the store manager if buying anything today would cause any issues with our SA.

She assured me that it wouldn’t and that she would still put the bag under our SA’s account I even offered to come back when our SA had availability, but she reassured me that there wouldn’t be any problems.

Our SA did pop in to check on us, so I’m hoping it’s all good. My wife fell in love with the color, and we’re waiting to get a call for an orange Kelly which is the only bag on our wish list at the moment. Does this purchase count toward our prespend? We also bought some cufflinks. i always hear leather don’t count toward prespend. let me know thanks!

nanny search

Hey guys, I’m looking for some advice. I started searching for a nanny today to help us with our 19-month-old. I’m hoping to find someone who can come in and help us out for a couple of hours while we’re still at home until we build the trust to have a date night, etc. I started by downloading and paying a subscription to Care.com. If anyone has advice on how they found a nanny, how long they waited to see if they worked well with their child, and all the details, and what to look for in a nanny/questions to ask. I would greatly appreciate it. I’m a first-time dad who’s a bit nervous about this whole journey.

advice needed

Hey guys, I need some advice on this Royal Oak 15500 2021 full set box and card. It’s in good condition, but it has some scratches and wear.

It’s never been polished, and I’m okay with the wear, but I just want to know if the pricing sounds fair.

I’m buying it from a reliable seller who I’ve bought AP watches from before, and he’s legit. The last Royal Oak stainless steel watch I bought from him was taken to AP and was 100% authentic.

On this one, he started at $88,000, but after negotiating with him, we settled at $80,000. I’m scheduled to pick it up on Saturday. I need some advice to see if this is the going rate for this model based on what I see on Chrono24 and other dealers it look as it is. Any advice would be appreciated. Does this specific model and spec hold its value well?

advice needed 3:1 no QB

Hey guys, I’ve been curious about what I should do on this journey.

I shop at a smaller boutique, but I have a great relationship with my SA Last year, I was offered a K25 for my wife. craie w gold hardware exact specs I added to the wishlist. The offer was about a 1:1 spend in less than a year after that offer I still shopped a lot, but I didn’t expect another QB. I had B25 in neutral colors and K25 in tan shades on my wishlist. Last July, I added a kelly cut to wishlist black w gold or gold w gold but I totally forgot about it.

at the beginning of 2026
I started increasing my spend because I wanted another QB for my wife for our anniversary or her birthday, which all passed in May. So, I aimed to spend over $1000 every visit, buying things my wife and I truly love and use.

In March, I was hinting and asking if there would be a QB for the upcoming events. My SA told me she was working on something.

in April My wife told me the only bag she really wanted to add to her collection was a K25 epsom in orange with gold hardware. She didn’t want any other bags besides that. She told our SA to remove all wishlist items and just work on that bag.

By the end of April, I was about over a 2:1 spend. I got a text to come in, something arrived. I got there thinking it was the orange kelly, but it turned out to be the kelly cut in epsom black with gold SA said it’s extremely rare to get a cut in epsom.

If you’ve seen my previous post, my wife loves it and is happy with it.

My SA told me that day that if I didn’t take the kelly cut, there would be no bag offers for the rest of May. So, I went ahead and took it because I needed a gift for her.

Even after the cut, I still purchased items. I’m at about a 3:1 spend right now, but I really have nothing else in mind to buy. The important events have passed, and I needed the QB.

So, where does this leave me? Do I continue to buy or take a break until I find something I like or want? I don’t want all my pre-spend to go to waste. Is the bag we’re waiting for extremely difficult to get? I even told her if it makes it easier, add a K28 with the same specs.

Also Before accepting the cut, I asked if this would interfere with any QB offers. She said no bc it’s not a QB.

What would you guys do in my situation?

all my purchases are shoes, Belts, Womens accessories, Men’s RTW, men’s accessories, Home stuff, silks, and some silver jewelry. also my wife bought a $4000 jacket recently

car seat tantrums

Hey everyone, my 18-month-old refuses to go into the car seat. She throws a tantrum until she’s almost out of breath. Since she turned 16 months old, she absolutely refuses to go into the car seat or stroller. It’s really difficult for my wife and me to do things as a family. We have a rotating car seat, evenFlo 360, and a mount for her iPad, but she still refuses. Does anyone have some tips or advice?

Update! If you recall, I received this bag for my wife at the end of April. I was uncertain whether she would like it or not. Surprisingly, she has now declared it one of her favorite bags! I’m glad I trusted my instincts. Haha!
