My girl’s Netflix declined before episode one and somehow we ended up arguing about You at 3am
I went over to my girl’s apartment last weekend and she asked if I wanted to watch You. We had snacks lined up on the bed and the lights low like we actually had our lives together for once. Then right when we hit play her Netflix payment declined. The silence after that was BRUTAL. She stared at the screen like it betrayed her. I tried acting chill but we both knew neither of us had money to waste, she started laughing out of nowhere and said this is why couples break up
So now it’s midnight and we’re laying there searching for netflix gift cards like two broke criminals trying to crack a case. Ended up finding galaxybids during the search rabbit hole and somehow got netflix working again. We said one episode then bed
Five episodes later it was almost 3am, empty snack bags all over the floor. Popcorn stuck in the blanket. We were arguing about which character was the most insane like these people were part of our friend group. At one point she got so heated she paused the show and stood up to defend Joe like she was his lawyer.
Whole room smelled like popcorn and regret.
