Just got my SR800...
...been researching and studying, watching videos, etc. Told myself not to get too excited, lots of people's first roast weren't great, there's a learning curve. So I just roasted some Columbian beans that came with the roaster following the exact instructions that came with the unit. I read that you should let the beans sit after roasting for 4 to 24 hours, but I couldn't wait so I brewed a pot.
So. Freaking. Good. WAY surpassed what I had hoped for. Was like an amazing, full-bodied pour-over from a really good coffeeshop right out of my drip machine. Unbelievable. And bonus, my house smells incredible. My only regret is that I didn't start roasting years ago!
