So i just did my first rebirth, i woke up in a apartment in cuba covered in blood (probably killed someone on behalf of murkoff)

i received a phone call with the famous phrase and then i go into the Sleeper agent mode? am i not already being mind controlled by murkoff and thats why i am covered in blood? why they need to call me to say the phrase? is it to assing me yet ANOTHER mission?

My take on this is that we wake up agitated from the bed, because we "woke up" from the mind controlled state, and then they call me to put me into that state again and assing me another objective. (maybe i just answered myself, idk).
