Could Henrietta/Jaeger be reasoned with?

I feel like Henrietta would be more reasonable, yes she's a grunt, but she was abandoned in the biohazard place for a while, so she wouldn't have been subjected to whatever Murkoff does to make grunts angry and hostile. Some of her voicelines are just "Hold me", same with the Jaeger, but she is kind of more broken in that form so it's probably less likely

Main Trial Difficulty Charts (solo)

Disclaimers: This is assuming that you are running a rig other than stun/blind or are going rigless entirely, as the difference those two can make in finale's and other tight sections are night and day. Assume if you're running either of these everything drops one level.

This is also assuming you're playing on intensive or psychosurgery, I'm an escalation enjoyer so my experience with these trials will affect how I view their potential. I have played most of these trials dozens of times, but I have only played Silence the Idol maybe 4 times, as Erik makes me too sad - so it will probabky be the least accurate.

I'm also if course having the caveat that this is playing solo - some objectives and sections can be trivialised entirely with a second+ player.

And finally - the difficulty scaling is not necessarily based on how likely you are to die, but how likely you are to be dealing with constant encounters and how precise you must be. Push 2 of PtM for example can be trivialised with good RNG, but other times you can have the giant and cocaine grunt in the worst possible positions. A difficulty of 1 means you have pretty much no threats whatsoever apart from idle grunts and you can pretty much do whatever you want. A difficulty of 5 implies you have to be constantly on your toes, lots of enemies, enviromental hazards, little hiding places, lots of brightness and objectives you must be very precise to complete.

A cool idea for a Coyle buff.

We can all agree that Coyle desperately needs a new buff to feel like a challenge in his trial environments. Well since the new expop 'the biter' is coming out in this upcoming season, what if Coyle carried around a biter like a police dog. He could pull a biter Exop by a chain similar to a dog on a leash and it could be used for the following.

  1. The Biter could help Coyle detect reagents in the dark by being able to scout a bit further ahead then Coyle and be able to walk in different directions. He wouldn't be able to stray too far away from Coyle as he would be attached by a leash made of chain.

  2. The Biter could be able to put reagents in a stun animation similar to the pouncer or lilya, however his would be alot shorter. This would both alert Coyle and give him time to catch up to you

  3. When in light areas the biter could charge at players dealing damage while Coyle runs up towards us.

This would allow Coyle to become a much larger threat and make it so reagents have to be extremely careful of him in both light and dark areas. This would also give him a larger range and would show the extent of his charisma since he was able to tame a biter and use it to hunt reagents. If it needed to be balanced Red Barrels could add that The Biter is very easily distracted by noise and could lead Coyle into wrong directions when it hears a bottle smash (Reagents would be able to distract biters like this without the cacophony amp). How do you guys feel about this idea? Do you think it would work or would need to be buffed or nerfed. I think this would be really cool to see a prime asset directly utilize expop for hunting and it would be a natural way to give Coyle a buff since most police officers would use dogs to help catch and hunt down people in police investigations.

Strong arm amp rework?

i love using the strong arm amp but some things are wrong with it. Why does throwing a brick at the berserkers head with the strong arm amp equipped do NOTHING? No stagger, no animation nothing, it just wastes a precious brick, and you have to throw a brick at the berserkers legs to make him stagger, you shouldn’t even have to do that which is disappointing because I’d like a new animation for strong arm and I want to be able to stagger the berserker for the longest amount of time possible too but they didn’t implement that, so strong arm is pointless against the berserker when you intend to stun him the longest amount of time possible. it’s also pointless against big grunts which is kinda sad. Throwing a brick at a big grunts face with strong arm gives the same amount of stun time as throwing a brick at their face without strong arm, except you can pick a piece of the brick back up, so basically makes strong arm useless here too. I’m not asking for the big grunts or the berserker to be stunned for a long time, but the berserker needs an animation for being hit in the head by a brick with strong arm. The crazy part is im pretty sure throwing a brick at his face it wouldn’t even cancel out his swing animation if he’s swinging at you so it’s pretty dumb. And for the big grunts I know they’re pretty strong still but they should still be stunned for a second longer atleast, if hit by a brick with strong arm and id like a new animation for it but red barrels probably wouldn’t go that far. The difference on enemy stun time with the strong arm amp on everyone (especially prime assets like coyle, gooseberry and Franco) is VERY insane, but the fact it doesn’t even do anything extra to the big grunts should honestly be reworked, even if it’s 6 nanoseconds it still deserves a longer stun time. the whole point of the amp is longer stun time for enemies even if it’s barely any extra time on big grunts it would still be better and make the amp be more of value as it’s intended to be, and the extra time would help, its a shame strong arm doesnt do anything extra to the big grunts like it should, and it’s a shame it does NOTHING to the berserker at all. Has anyone else who uses strong arm complained about this in their heads too?

Can I play Outlast Trial solo?

Hello,

i am thinking about buying outlast trials. I dont like mutliplayer and just want to play the whole game solo, Is that Possible and what is the playtime of this game?

Why don't you get to see the varitors before the trials?

Escalation would be better if you could make a build based on the varitors. Why else would I select more amps if I have no idea if a specific one will ever be useful.

Sometimes I want lock break if I know the boxes are gonna all be locked, sometimes I want noise reduction if they have increased healing.

That gives incentive to select more amps and make unique builds per trial rather than going for a catch-all build.

Escalation therapy with bomb timer and only throwables

Hey so like it says in the title i was doing escalation therapy and on the 10th trial we got the modifyers bomb timer and only throwables, we all died because we couldnt find a countdown extender, is it even possible to find one if the modifier only spawns throwables on the map?

Had a really vivid dream where I was playing the game after the update. Red Barrels said they decided to listen to fans and give Coyle a cut off t-shirt and a BBL.

What do you think it means

What I hope to see for the future of The Outlast Trials.

There are two points that The Outlast Trials should expand upon.

The first point concerns the game's prestige system. Relapse goes up to level 99. While it’s great that you can keep playing after hitting level 99 by resetting your rank, I feel like more could have been done with it. Perhaps this will come in a future update since the Relapse system is only three seasons old but I’d love to see an updated version that grants a special prestige reward every time you complete, say, five or ten Relapses. I’m happy with the outfit you get after the first Relapse, but it would be nice to have more rewards like that the further you progress through the Relapse system.

The second point concerns the stamps. Since the game is so good, you end up playing it a lot and earning plenty of stamps whether by completing trials or challenges, or by reaching a new rank. I actually like this aspect, as it allows you to purchase items from the catalogs. However, the catalogs are the only option; there are no other ways to spend the stamps. The system where playing more yields more than you strictly need works very well for stamps in

The Outlast Trials, but it does result in a growing surplus of unused stamps. That is the second issue, and I hope that future updates will introduce other ways to spend them.

These are really the only two minor issues I have with the game, which is otherwise perfect. I am confident that Red Barrels will eventually address these points and make improvements.

Anyone else have a character they're completely obsessed with?

Like, objectively they're a menace, weird-looking, terrifying, or just an absolute gremlin... but like to you they're the cutest, most precious little guy/girl in existence and you would protect them with your life?

Because I have one, and I adore him an unreasonable amount. Please tell me I'm not alone. Like *look* at him, he's just a silly little guy! He's so precious!! 😍

I am new to the franchise, I've played Outlast and I'm currently making my way through 2. How much FOMO would I have from this game?

Disclaimer: I didn't know that this game was a live service, I assumed that there were updates and stuff, but not seasons, so I'm pretty torn, because I've bought it on sale to complete the franchise so to say. Soooo, what should I expect? Should I be able to enjoy the "whole" story? I'm assuming there are going to be events that I've missed, how can I replay them (if there's a way to)? And lastly, have the devs said when the story is going to conclude? Or at least is it finishing?

Not that big of a deal

So I have a family shared ps5 and i havemy own pc. On this ps5 I play the outlast trials. The two big problems are sum times I want to play outlast but sum one is on (aka my stubborn brothers) not wanting to get off. The second part is that I have a lot of progress on my ps5 that restarting would be a a pain in the ass. So is there a way it transfer all of my data. Thanks:)
