i made a conv between socs and easterman tell me what yall think! >.<
Dr. Hendrick Joliet Easterman is the director of the Sinyala Facility in Arizona and the lead psychologist for the Murkoff Corporation. His goal is to use horrible, inhumane experiments on people as a therapy called “trials.” The therapy is used to reshape humans knto controlled soldiers for the Murkoff Corporation. He only views peace as psychological weapon.
Socrates is an ancient Greek philosopher who likes to ask questions about peoples thinking.
One day on Socrates’ trip across the USA, he stops in Arizona for some Arizona iced tea but ends up getting lost and ends up finding the Sinyala Facility. So, he stops in to see what this place is like. Upon entering he sees a somewhat short, middled age man in a black suit smoking a cigarette overlooking some room. Socrates taps the man on the shoulder
Socs: “Excuse me kind sir what is this place?”
Easterman: *looks at socs* “I’m Dr. Hendrick Joliet Easterman and this place is the Sinyayla Facility. Where I’m helping those that aren’t quite accepted by society.” He puts simply
Socs: “What does this “helping” include?”
Easterman**: “Therapy.”**
Socs**: “What kind of therapy.”**
Easterman: "Rehabilitation.”
Socs: “What is Rehabilitation?”
Easterman**: " The action of restoring a person’s life to be normal.”**
Socs: “What kind of rehabilitation doe the therapy include?”
Easterman: " Like using hallucinogens to rebuild a person.”
Socs**: “Hmm… and do the hallucinogens make the less favorable people by society make at peace with themselves or something?”**
Easterman**: “At peace with themselves? my friend peace is a psychological weapon. With that peace you can make someone crave the intense life they once had.”**
Socs: “So, you just use peace as a way to get what you the reagents to do?”
Easterman: “In a since.”
Socs: “Interesting, let’s go back this idea of intense life the regents once had. What do you mean by intense? Please explain I do think of myself as an intelligent man but of thinking very much interest me.
Easterman: *Thinks to himself this guy? intelligent? Yeah, right but I’ll play along with his little game who knows maybe I can use him in the trials* “What I mean by intense is being on edge all the time wondering what going to happen to them.”
Socs: “How so?
Easterman: “Like live in fear by using high pressure objectives in the therapy which can seem hectic I suppose.’’
Socs: “What kind of high-pressure objectives Is there in the therapy.”
Easterman: “The high-pressure objectives in the therapy include pushing a heavy object along a track. Where you are vulnerable and the track is often blocked by gates you have to go find levers for. While being chased by a prime asset. Every one of the therapies I have, for the people that aren’t quite accepted by society, has a prime asset. I guess being chased in therapy makes people feel like they have to be on edge all the time, but when they are not in the therapy it gives them peace of mind. Which is easier to make them more susceptible to different prats of the therapy.”
Socs: “So the high-pressure objectives make the people in the therapy live in fear and cause them to be on edge all the time?’’
Easterman**: “Yes according to my studies of the human mind.”**
Socs: “Back to his idea of peace of mind. Who does the peace of mind work?”
Easterman**: “Well with having a state of control of things in life and also not having to worry about life’s problems.”**
Socs: “And the less favorable people by society do they have a name.”
Easterman: “Reagents. Why?”
Socs: “So I can give them a name instead of the less favorable people by society. So, with the reagents how does peace of mind make them more separable to different parts of the therapy?’’
Easterman: “Well them having peace of mind makes them easier to control due to the submission part of peace.”
Socs: “And how does peace of mind cause submission in a person.”
Easterman: “What’s with all the questions I though you were a quote “intelligent man” An intelligent man would know all this stuff you’re asking.
Socs: “I am an intelligent man, but your way of thinking interest me. I want to know how does one like you exactly, think that’s all.
Easterman: *Starts to get more visibly angry*
Socs: “I’m sorry my friend but the way you think can’t help but interest me.”
Easterman: “Well ask away then.” *Thinks to himself I’ll him killed after he done asking all his stupid little insignificant questions*
Socs: “Well then! Back to what I was asking how does peace of mind cause submission in a person.”
Easterman: “It makes the reagents calm so they stop fighting the therapy. Also, by having the reagents feel like they don’t need to be in charge of what’s happening to them. It’s simple brainwashing.”
Socs**: “Brainwashing what’s that?”**
Easterman: “A method used to change how a person thinks or believes.”
Socs: “And how do you brainwash the said reagents?”
Easterman: “Like breaking their mind which indues stripping them of their names and pasts and giving them new light. Also, by Forcing them to participate in very violent "trials" and that creates constant fear in the reagents and exhaustion and that makes them easier to manipulate. The hallucinogenic gas them in a permanent state of confusion and suggestibility which helps the brainwashing process.”
Socs: “So all of that Is how you use one part of peace in the therapy?”
Easterman: “Yes but the bigger part all that is peace is a psychological weapon.”
Socs: “Hmm…. So, is all the therapy and brainwashing is how you use peace as a psychological weapon?”
Easterman: “Yes and are you done asking your stupid insignificant questions.”
*****Before Socs could answer Easterman already pushed the button under his desk to signal the guards to come “take care” of Socs. The guards moved into the room that Easterman and Socs were in then BOOM a single gunshot rang out though the room.*
Socs: “ Is… this… considered… a… version… of *gasp* peace?”
Socs lays on ground dead on the cold tile floor*
