Traveling
I’ll be going on a two day trip. My usual sitter had something come up last minute and can no longer watch my gcc. I’m having a family member come over twice a day to come keep him company. The family member who is watching him is inexperienced with him but i’m worried our gcc will be miserable while we’re gone. I think it’s best to keep him in the cage, turn on some cartoons while we’re gone and have our family member spend time next to his cage when they visit. It’s just two days but I want to make sure my boy is okay!
I’ve even tried rescheduling our trip but it is non refundable. Advise would be greatly appreciated <3
edit: For a little more context i’m very hesitant to allow him out the cage as we have pet rats. Sometimes our gcc likes to be sneaky and fly on top their cage. It’s rare but i’d hate for anything to happen! (He’s stubborn and you have to pick him up off their cage.)
I did call my vet about this and he advised strongly against anyone letting him out his cage. I just feel so guilty!
