Audio issues on Friday's Kinetic Field and Quantum Valley streams explanation - Out of phase audio

I've seen a lot of people saying they had issues with audio quality of the streams...tinny, lack of bass, things sound weird. And i heard it the second I tuned in. and don't worry, your ears weren't tricking you.

The audio output was out of phase.

Basically what that means is some wires were crossed digitally or physically somewhere between the output of the mixer to the output of the YouTube stream. Either the left or right channel got it's polarity flipped, which cause the whole mix to sound out of whack.

Out of phase audio just sounds "wrong" to me. It's like the sound doesn't make sense, you can't pinpoint where the center is, its lacking bass, its tinny/hollow, etc.

The only way to fix it is by reversing the phase of one of the channels and then boom, it's all working again.

Here's an instagram reel I put together showing what was going on

Just thought I'd share to put your questioned ears at ease :)
