Hey all,

I'm the developer of Screentide, a flexible screen-time manager for Android.

I'm giving away 495 lifetime Screentide Gold licences, currently valued at $19.99.

Screentide is a flexible screen-time manager built especially for Android that helps you cut back on distracting apps and websites using smart triggers, schedules and different levels of intervention, from subtle friction through to a strict block.

A few things that make it different:

• 🐢 Slow distracting apps and websites down to near dial-up speeds instead of completely blocking them. Text and lighter content can remain usable, while videos and other rich media become much less tempting.
• 🌑 Darken gradually dims distracting apps as your usage builds, adding subtle visual friction before you reach the point of needing a hard block.
• ⏸️ Pause or Block when you want a stronger intervention.
• 📅 Calendar integration lets rules automatically run during matching events, such as work, study or meetings. You don't even need to open the app (because that's the point, right?).
• 📍 Smart triggers include Wi-Fi, location, charging state and NFC/QR scans.
• ⏰ Flexible scheduling with recurring weekly schedules, one-off periods and timers.
• 📱 Apps + websites can be included in the same rules, with presets for adult, social, streaming and gambling sites.
• 📊 Hourly usage tracking and trends show when you use your phone most, with day, week, month and longer-term views.
• 🔒 No account required. Screentide runs locally on your device.

Free vs Gold

While you can use all the core features for free, Screentide Gold is for more advanced setups. It unlocks:

• More than 3 rules
• More than 1 location trigger, synced calendar
• Combining multiple trigger conditions or actions within a rule
• Longer visible history of usage data

This is a lifetime unlock, not a subscription!

Feedback would be great, especially if something doesn't work as expected. Android development in this space is tricky because different devices and OS versions can behave differently, and I haven't been able to test every device.

If you do run into an issue, please report it through the feedback form in the app so I can get to the bottom of it.

Hope it helps users cut down on their screen time!
