I just love this song. It has grown on me lately and for 2 days I have been listening to it non-stop. I think it has become my favorite.
The lyrics are so powerful and the emotion….
“We’re immortal lovers now / This is immortally cruel” just kills me. 💔 It sounds so good. 🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️ It just breaks me, for a reason.

And the song is filled with quotes almost exact from the books:

“Rapunzel with the scarlet ribbon” and “a kiss to cut the lions mane” are references to Gabriella’s hair that Lestat helps her cut every night.

“Hunters of the Savage Garden / Splendid devils and a sea of jewels” this is taken from the books:
- Lestat is bringing Gabriella jewels that he think she would like (especially masculine rings)
- “Her fingers moved as if they had life of their own, could feel delight, and again she laughed. ‘Ah, but we are splendid devils, aren’t we?’ [she said.] ‘Hunters of the Savage Garden,’ I said.” (Vampire Lestat the book)

“let’s go darling” is also a direct quote from the book, one of the only times that Gabriella uses a pet-name like “darling” for Lestat, right after she is turned: “Is this true? his is a reference to a line in the original novel right after Gabrielle’s turning, “‘Let’s go, then, darling,’ she said, and she kissed me. I couldn’t move. I wanted to go back to the tower and just be close to her.” (Vampire Lestat)

“in my loneliness, he is everything” also taken directly from the book: “I have loved him as I have never loved any other being in creation**. In my loneliness, my son is everything to me.** How is it you can’t interpret what you see?” -Gabrielle, The Vampire Lestat

Daniel is a genius. I cannot believe how much love and attention these people give to the books and the characters. It’s amazing. ❤️❤️❤️

I have a silly question. 😅

At the end of Brutal Love, is it “I am the meteor colliding” or “I am the meteor gliding”?
I’ve initially heard “colliding”, but my subtitles in the show say “gliding” (and apparently AMC+ subtitles too), and now I can hear that too. Especially in the show version, when Lestat sings to Louis, it can very well be “gliding”. In the live performance though (in “One Night Only”), I’m pretty sure I hear “colliding” (3 syllables).

The lyrics sites are split, some say “colliding” (lyricsondemand), others say “gliding” (genius). Spotify says “colliding”. But they are not official and can be wrong.

Colliding makes more sense to me, but then again, a meteor gliding across the sky is actually a falling meteor, so that could work too. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Colliding is more devastating. Falling in love feels like colliding, like destruction, yet he stills wants it. No matter how toxic and vhow bad this love is for him. So I am team “colliding”, but tbh I can hear both versions and either work with the vibe of the song. So I want to know the official lyrics.

So…which one is it? Is there an official lyric somewhere that can finally convince me it’s “colliding”? 🤣

Most of the time I’m convinced he says “colliding,” but every now and then I can hear “gliding” too.
Or it can be Lestat’s accent or his strange pronunciation saying “guh-liding” when I hear distinctly 3 syllables. He’s been known to pronounce words wrongly ( Worcester 🤣). So now I am confused, as it can be either.

I need an official confirmation, cause it seems that the opinions are split on this. It’s driving me nuts. 🤣🤣🤣

L.E: Mystery solved! 😂 I asked Nelly Efron, who performed with Sam and Daniel at the Beacon Theatre, and she confirmed that the lyric is “I am the meteor COLLIDING.” So apparently the AMC subtitles saying “gliding” are wrong. 😅

L.E.2: Daniel himself confirmed that it’s “colliding” and he said he has been sending corrections everywhere so they have the right lyrics.

Unfortunately, I forgot my password and it isn’t saved in my phone. I tried every password I can think of, but I haven’t figured it out. 😭 I’m still logged into the app on my phone, but I can’t log in on the website to request the GDPR extract.
Password reset isn’t working because I never receive the reset email (I’ve checked my spam folder as well). I have been waiting for over an hour and nothing yet.
Is there any way to export my data while I’m still logged into the app on my phone?
I’ve also emailed support, but I’m worried they won’t reply before the shutdown. 😭
