Check Engine @ 5k miles?

Check Engine @ 5k miles?

Check engine at 5k miles?

Hello mechanics from all over the world. My mom bought a Nissan Kicks 2023 SV 2WD about two weeks ago.

Now she bought it certified pre-owned, it had 5k-ish miles. And about 3 days after she got it, the check engine light came on. 2 days later it turned off, so we thought it was just the gas cap not being correctly in place. But then again, when she filled up on gas later that day the light came back on, and it hasn’t turned off since then.

In our city there isn’t a Nissan approved shop (she bought it in a big neighbor city) so she went to Autozone to get a report. The error came out as the Oxygen sensor (image attached).

My question is, is this normal? Could it be just pure luck that the car got a faulty oxygen sensor that needs replacement? Could it be something else?

We have 2 other Nissans (one 80k miles and the other 30k) that have been incredibly good and have not broke down (thankfully), so this is new to us.

I’m asking here because she’ll need to go back to the other city to take it to the shop but that’ll take a few days before she can make the trip. I’m asking her to hurry up bc it has been barely 3 weeks since she got it.

MS done, should I take a break?

Hello there, about a month ago I discovered RR, I think it was July 9, and powered through it in 10 days, the bought GS and took a bit more, but today I just finished MS.

Here’s my dilemma:
I’ve been wanting to read Project Hail Mary, since I haven’t seen the movie. But I feel like reading another story will cause one of two things: it will bore me out bc of RR high-adrenaline battles, war dynamics, incredible speeches, gripping stories, and great effin characters, ooooooooor, I will lose the grip on the story and maybe forget a few details.

I’ve read here and there that Iron Gold is written differently as the previous 3 books. But i’m scared i will not like PHM or enjoy it as much with MS in the back of my mind.

Just want to get a different POV of my dilemma and to know what you pixies think. 🤔 . All jokes aside, thank you for reading and your opinion on this. I love this series!

Per aspera, ad astra!

What a BOOK!!!

I bought Red Rising last week because of IG reels and booktok, didn’t have much faith in it, thought I could see the story straight through the Hunger Games plot. But. Wow. Incredible. Prime. Reading it now on my Kindle has been a gorydamn, excuse my Gold lingo, I mean bloodydamn rollercoaster.

Haven’t finished it though, but believe me when I say I (22M) am not a book person, and this is my 3rd book on Kindle, yet i’m swiping through pages as quick as tiktok videos or ig reels. Today I was at 45% in the morning and i’m going to sleep on 71%. I can’t believe 282 pages in less than a week, my English teachers would be falling off their chairs. Thank you Pierce Brown, thank you Red Rising community, thank you Darrow.

I am the Reaper, and death is my shadow.

USA Mountains

22M Hello everyone, I’m moving into the US soon, specifically, Texas. I’m in love with Montana, Wyoming, Yellowstone, Colorado and everything mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes. For the first few months I’ll obviously have to save up for basic expenses, but one of my first goals is that I want to get to know all of these places before my youth escapes me.

I know it’s hard and probably expensive, but what’s the best way to plan trips like this?

This is just sad

Be me. I’ve never beaten Minecraft, I’ve never played it alone, I’ve never gone to the nether either, I’ve only played with friends but they are used to using the cheat codes to get stuff right away, and they know everything in the game so I really haven’t done anything or discovered anything by myself.

Yesterday I downloaded it again, hoping to start a survival world peacefully, no rush, no cheat codes, no friends trying to compete for who mines more diamonds or that they know each recipe so discovering the game wasn’t an option. I played it and liked it a lot, I spent like half an hour trying to find a good spot near the sea but that also had trees and vines to explore and get materials from.

Today I started my house, very simple, very boring if you may say so, but it was nice, my own design, no rushing. Went mining on caves for like a day and a half (in-game) and got like 90 iron ore and like 15 gold ore, got a few spider spawns and got diamond horse armor. Went back to my house, melted everything and kept it in my double chest. Made some armor, a shield and some buckets to start a small farm.

Started my farm, then night came, I started to see an awfully uncommon amount of mobs near my newly started farm, decided that the battle would not be fought that day. Went back to the house to sleep through the night. Woke up, was going to get out and as I opened the door, went back in to check my furnaces and watched the mobs die near my farm (100 blocks away) for a second.

As soon as I turn back to get out again, a creeper exploded, I said “Damn, my chest is gone, well at least my things are here, lemme craft another chest, looked to my crafting table… *creeper explosion sound cue starts*. Poof, all my stuff, my 80ish iron ore, my diamond horse armor, my minerals, my everything. Gone. Thought “Well maybe it blew it away”, nope, nothing nearby the radius of about 20 blocks.

I know some of you will say “Well you left the door open, what did you expect?”. But this is the first time I give Minecraft a real try, the first time I don’t make useless tunnels to mine diamonds on level 11. Everything was turning out as if the game was rewarding me for exploring caves, for going into the wild, taking my time, exploring in general, mining stuff the right way, fighting mobs. But no, practically all my progress just ended in a creeper explosion. I know it’s stupid to die or lose stuff by mobs, but, I didn’t even die. I survived both explosions. Idk, it’ll take me some days to turn back and give it another chance.

Anyways, if you read all the way through here, thanks. I just wanted to get this out of my mind. Good luck everyone.
