What makes a used car listing feel trustworthy to you?

I’m working on a small tool called Car Ad Builder that helps private sellers create clearer used car listings.

It generates descriptions for Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Autotrader, Cars.com, plus title ideas, photo checklist, disclosure suggestions, and safe selling reminders.

The goal is to make listings more complete and honest, not salesy.

From a buyer’s perspective, what makes you trust or distrust a used car listing?

For example:

  • clean title clearly mentioned
  • mileage and trim included
  • known issues disclosed
  • recent maintenance listed
  • good photo order
  • no exaggerated claims like “mint” or “perfect”

Curious what matters most to people here.
