How to create "double vision" effect effectively
Hey everyone. I'm trying to make a stylized type of blur like the one shown in the image. Sort of a cross eyed effect, where the image is doubled but shifts to each side, resulting in lower opacity in the edges. I can sort of achieve this by duplicating the layer and messing with opacity, but I was wondering if there was already an effect that does the same thing via a slider, or if there is a way to create this through expressions.
I know it's a simple effect but I would need to replicate it in almost 100 scenes, so duplicating every layer and animating the x position of every instance of this effect doesn't seem possible.
I played around with some chromatic aberration plugins because the logic feels similar but with no success. I also tried it by using the transform effect and cc composite, but it felt very clunky and dumb. I just feel like there is probably an easy way I just don't know about
