What are some books that have ACTUALLY scared you and kept you up at night?

I've had books make me laugh.

I've had books make me grin.

Recently, I had a book make me cry profusely for upwards of 15 minutes.

But I've never had a book scare me. I'm hoping that y'all would help change that. I'm considering House of Leaves, but I'd love to hear other suggestions.

I feel like not enough people know about Tobias, and honestly, they should!

correction : I meant nu-disco, mainly

This May is going to be a disco-heavy month in my world, and I'd love a good jumping off point. I do like Todd Terje & Metro Area, for now.

I love the SOUND of jazz, but for some reason, I'm not connecting to it in the way that I'd like, so I figured I'd ask for something more in my wheelhouse. I love ambient & synth music, so I figured there must be crossover somewhere.
