Muscle Building on AIs?

I'm about to start AIs, and I am feeling pretty down about it. I was never the type to want to look younger, but something about my body being changed by these meds gets to me. Before my mastectomy, I was really making progress with my workouts and was getting my old muscle tone back. I'm wondering if it's going to still be possible while on AIs? Or will joint pain and weight gain make it hard to stay fit? I think I need some positive stories because my brain keeps focusing on all the possible side effects. And it's not helping that I keep being inundated by HRT ads left and right!

Hey everyone! My oncologist is switching me to Exemestane, and I'm feeling anxious about it. I'm in my early 30s and just went into medical menopause using Zoladex. What can I expect, and does reducing dosage lessen potential side effects? I'm going to be on 25 mg to start. Thanks everyone!

For the past few years, I've been trying to hide my figure and make myself small as to not draw attention. I've also dealt with pelvic floor issues that have made physical intimacy nearly impossible. So getting cancer too should have been the nail in the coffin of me feeling "sexy." But after two surgeries and months of medical menopause, I'm saying eff it. I got some new outfits for summer, and I'm excited to step out in the world with my old shine. So people might see my scars? I don't care anymore. We have gone through so much as cancer patients, and we deserve to feel confident and beautiful! Let's not let the world convince us otherwise.

Has anyone else been asked this? I've had a few people ask this about my breast cancer and then start going through my history to see why this happened to me. I even had a doctor ask me this! I'm guessing it's mostly a way to feel a sense of control for people, but it's annoying. Trust me, I wish I knew what caused my cancer too, but unfortunately it's often random.
