How did you move in?

I’m arriving next week and will be staying in the UWS for a few months, possibly longer. I’m renting an SUV one way so I can unload and then return the car and be done.

My questions are:
- do you just double park while you’re unloading?
- did you hire someone to help? Since I don’t have any furniture it would probably take me about 30 min max (I have a hurt foot or it would be faster).
- it’s not really a ‘move’ so would Taskrabbit be good for this?

The idea of double parking for more than a few minutes stresses me out but maybe that’s the norm?!

Let me know how you did it! I’ll be around 103 & Manhattan. Thank you!!

How hard to find a place with 2 small dogs?

I’ve been watching the market for a few months now but getting serious soon. I’ve noticed that a lot of listings that pass the ‘Pet Friendly’ filter actually do not accept pets (super frustrating) or only allow one.

My credit if above 800, and my budget is decent (up to $6000), so how hard will it be to find a place that accepts 2 small dogs, ages 15 and 6?

I’d ideally like to be close to Central Park, but if that isn’t possible, close to any park will do. My schedule is flexible too.

I’ve been checking Zillow, StreetEasy, FurnishedFinder, apartments.com and a few FB groups.

Is my best bet to hire a broker? Go with a huge building? Open to any and all tips. Thank you!
